...back to war! airplane food is heated on convection ovens. Which are gas with electrical systems...since microwaves can not be used, or electronics would be affected. This can hv several aspects of security, as for instance heating electronics, as phones, or laptops, which hv a tiny ammount of gold components and thorium radioactive. On the other hand, Im seeing at the end of the oven, a smoke extractor, which making paper fire, would not release the smoke.
