MADELEINE McCANN
AND RUSSIA
The hunt for Madeleine McCann 'has switched to Russia and the Ukraine', after 'a confession from pedophile Raymond Hewlett that she could be in Russia or the Ukraine'.
Hewlett - who died three years ago from cancer - is reported to have told his son that he knew who had abducted Madeleine in 2007.
"Inconsistencies in Sergey Malinka's account of
his relationship with Robert Murat emerged: 'he had said he had not contacted
Murat in a year but Murat’s mobile phone records allegedly show he called Mr
Malinka at 23:40 on the night Madeleine went missing.' [36][37]
"Friends of the McCanns stated 'that they saw Murat outside the holiday complex on the night of the disappearance when he had stated that he was at home with his mother.'" [41]

Sergey Malinka - 12 May 2009
"On 2 May in an article about Madeleine McCann's disappearance we mentioned that Robert Murat phoned an unnamed computer specialist, who some readers may recognise as Mr Sergey Malinka, and that the telephone call wrongly caused suspicion to fall on Mr Murat.
"We have been asked to make clear that Mr Malinka, whose only connection with Mr Murat was a professional one, did not speak to Mr Murat that night and neither had any connection with Madeleine's disappearance. We apologise for any misunderstanding."
